11 Day Northern Vietnam Explorer

This journey takes you well beyond Vietnam’s headline highlights and into the country’s northern heartland, where landscapes open up and daily life moves at a different pace. Starting in Hanoi, you’ll experience the city through its food, markets, and hidden neighbourhoods before heading into the mountains.

From there, the route winds through Nghia Lo and Mu Cang Chai, where rice terraces carve through the hills and small villages sit largely unchanged. In Sapa, you’ll spend time walking through lesser-visited communities, offering a more grounded look at life in the region. The trip finishes with a two-night cruise through Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, giving you time to properly take in one of Vietnam’s most iconic landscapes.

It’s a well-balanced itinerary combining culture, scenery, and slower travel, with enough time in each place to experience it properly rather than just passing through.
